Delete Your WittyStar Account

How to request account deletion

If you want to permanently delete your WittyStar account, please send an email request to:

To help us process your request securely, please send the email from the same email address you used to register your WittyStar account and include the following:

• Your full name (optional but helpful).
• The email address associated with your WittyStar account.
• A clear statement that you want to delete your WittyStar account and associated data.

Example text you can copy:

“Hi WittyStar team, I would like to delete my WittyStar account associated with this email address and remove my personal data in line with your privacy policy.”

What we delete

When we process your deletion request, we will:

• Delete your WittyStar account credentials (email + hashed password).
• Delete or anonymise your remix history and saved remixes that are linked to your user ID, where technically possible.
• Remove your account from login and access systems so it can no longer be used.

Some information may be retained in our backups or logs for a limited period for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance, but this data is not used to operate your account once it has been deleted.

Data we may need to keep temporarily

In some cases we may need to retain certain information for a short time, for example:

• Records required for tax, billing, or legal obligations.
• Security logs and system backups that are automatically rotated after a defined retention period.

When this happens, your data is no longer used to provide WittyStar features and will be removed automatically once the retention period expires.

How long does it take?

We aim to respond to account deletion requests as quickly as possible. In most cases, deletion will be completed within a reasonable time after we confirm we have verified the correct account.

Third-party services

WittyStar may use third-party services (for example, hosting providers, email providers, or analytics tools) to operate the app. Where those services act as our processors, your data will be deleted or anonymised there as well once your deletion request has been completed, subject to their own legal retention requirements.
